New pictures

Hey everyone! I've added some new pictures to our Gallery.  I had a chance to practice a little on this thing. So ya'll should see things changing quite a bit on our site.
Our Gallery represents a small portion of our work. I would love  to show all  the pictures to you guys, but  that may be a little too many.  These are just some of my favorites. Around ninety percent of the granite in these shots was supplied by Home Emporium. As ya'll can see, they have some pretty granite there.
In addition to counter tops, we also do stone patios, walkways, dry stack walls, and small ponds. When the weather gets a little warmer,  I'll get some great shots of  our creations. Time for me to get back to  real work.. Talk to ya'll soon.

Marble vs Granite

Hey everyone out there in computer land. We  have a upcoming job involving marble. Both Marble and Granite are excelent materials for your counters. But there are factors to consider before chosing. Marble tends to be a much softer material. So if you use your're kitchen as much as I do there is a scratch factor. Being a softer stone also makes it easier to repair those pesky scratches. Then again unless prepping food dirctly on the surface or dragging stock pots full soup across it, you shouldn't have any problems. Now for the granite. My favorite. Both are durable, but granite tends to be a much harder stone. Short of the stock pot scenario, it's dificult to scratch. Don't use use your knives on it unless you plan on sharpening them between each use. Plus there is the scratch factor. For you bakers out there, both are awesome. There's nothing better than a slab of stone to roll out that pie crust. Well enough for now. Time for me to go cut some stone.
